EXPORTING ELECTRONICS TO CANADA AND NORTH AMERICA - CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT NOW FASTER AND CHEAPER VIA EMCC DR. RAŠEK.

EMCC DR. RAŠEK is a designated Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for Canada and the USA under the provisions of the Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) between the European Community and Canada and between the European Community and the USA, respectively.
What are MRAs ? How they can be of help to European exporters ?
According to the information available on the website "The European Commission - Enterprise", the European Community in its relations with third countries endeavors to promote international trade. For regulated products this is achieved through the conclusion of Mutual Recognition Agreements.
Mutual Recognition Agreements are established between the European Community and the Government of third countries and are based on the mutual acceptance of test reports, certificates and marks of conformity issued by the conformity assessment bodies of one of the Parties of the Agreement in conformity with the legislation of the other Party. MRAs allow manufacturers to have their products assessed for third country requirements by bodies in their own countries, so reducing cost and time needed to achieve market access.
MRAs include the definition of lists of designated laboratories, inspection bodies and CABs in both the EC and the third country. EMCC DR. RAŠEK is among the listed CABs.
For more information please refer to the page of DG Enterprise of the European Commission.
EMCC DR. RAŠEK handles the conformity assessment for your products for Canada and the USA, respectively. For more information please email to emc.cert@emcc.de

EXPORTING ELECTRONICS TO USA

FCC rules may bar the importation of electronic products into USA. Electronic products which are not authorized by the FCC will be rejected by the US customs. EMCC DR. RAŠEK is a highly qualified and independent RADIO, EMC, TELECOM and SAFETY test house located in Germany. EMCC DR. RAŠEK is EC accredited and FCC listed which allows EMCC DR. RAŠEK to issue European Community, USA and CANADA acknowledged certificates. Site attenuation compliance for testing radiated emissions from digital devices for FCC Certification, Notification or Verification is based on the ANSI C 63.4 standard. For other than digital devices, ANSI C 63.4 may also be applied. The EMCC DR. RAŠEK Open Area Test Sites (OATS) currently meet the FCC/ANSI site attenuation requirements. Both 3 m and 10 m sites in the unique 40 m sheltered facility are FCC listed per the ANSI C 63.4 requirements and are available to industry.
Thus EMCC DR. RAŠEK can manage your North American approvals under the DoC procedure (manufacturer's Declaration of Conformity) without having to apply with the FCC anymore, resulting in much faster and cheaper access to the North American market than before.
The DoC routine applies to equipment as follows (the familiar Certification Procedure, however, still can be applied in most cases):
  • CB receivers and superregenerative receivers
  • all other receivers subject to cfr 47 part 15 (except for scanning receivers)
  • TV interface devices and cable system terminal devices
  • Class B personal computers and peripherals
  • CPU boards and internal power supplies used with Class B PCs
  • Class B personal computers assembled using authorized CPU boards or power supplies

EMCC DR. RAŠEK provides for complete solutions from consulting, modifications and tests up to approval services, thus ensuring rapid and cost efficient compliance and certification.

EMCC DR. RAŠEK is also designated as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the FCC and recognised as Foreign Certification Body (FCB) by Industry Canada and Conformity Assessment Body (CAB)  for Japan .
