"RFS"
EMC Software for Radio Frequency Susceptibility Tests according to IEC/EN 61000-4-3, IEC/EN 61000-4-6, ED-14C/D, DO 160 C/D,
MIL-STD 461, Def.Stan, VG, GAM EG 13 and others
EMCComp DR. RAŠEK provides a controller software for your GPIB / IEEE 488 bus controllable test equipment. The program enables you to perform fully compliant radiated and conducted immunity tests according to IEC/EN 61000-4-3, IEC/EN 61000-4-6, ED-14C/D/E, DO 160 C/D/E, MIL-STD 461, Def.Stan, VG, GAM EG 13 and others.
System requirements:
- PC IBM or compatible with CPU 486 or higher, 128 MB RAM and WIN 98, WIN NT or WIN2K, GPIB port National Instruments compatible
- Test equipment according to the test specification, all controllable equipment with GPIB port, National Instruments compatible
ALL HARDWARE CAN ALSO BE SUPPLIED BY EMCComp DR. RAŠEK.
Calibration:
At the beginning the program asks you for the calibration parameters. You have to enter frequency range, frequency steps, fieldstrength or voltage and
equipment used.
Then the program performs a 16-field-points-calibration according to IEC/EN 61000-4-3, or a one point calibration
of the fieldstrength or a calibration of a desired RF-voltage.
At the end of the calibration procedure the data is stored into a stack of calibration files.
Radiated or Conducted Susceptibility Test:
At the beginning of the test run the programs asks for the appropriate stored calibration file. The calibration documentation and equipment
lists of the calibration file are retrieveable from the stored files. The following input mask enables the operator to set the appropriate
susceptibility test parameters. The following parameters can be altered or set:
- Time per frequency step
- Modulation type
- Modulation parameters
- Fieldstrength or Voltage
- Automatic monitoring of EUT parameters
For each frequency step the correct forward power is read from the calibration file.
The program controls the generator output power to reestablish the stored calibrated forward power level.
During the forward power control process the generator modulation is switched off by default because most power
meters cannot measure modulated signals correctly. Optional regulation with activated modulation is possible.
In the next step - the duration of which depends on the step rate setting - the modulation is active. The test
run can be surveyed during execution and is automatically recorded in a file.
During the test procedure the control program can be switched into a manual operation mode. This mode is very
helpful to examine EUT reactions and threshold levels. In the manual operation mode the following parameters can be altered or set:
- Modulation on/off
- Frequency
- Fieldstrength or Voltage
- RF-power on/off
- Manual command of the test instruments
The program enables the operator to switch between automatic and manual operation mode.
The software used at EMCCons DR. RAŠEK's laboratories together with the new unique high-tech anechoic test chamber and all the services including specialized experience are available to all interested parties.
ALL HARDWARE UP TO COMPLETE TEST LABS including the necessary training are available from EMCComp DR. RAŠEK.

Calibration:
At the beginning the program asks you for the calibration parameters. You have to enter frequency range, frequency
steps, calibration current and equipment used.
Then the program performs a calibration according to the mentioned standards.
At the end of the calibration procedure the data is stored into a stack of calibration files.
BCI test:
At the beginning of the test run the programs asks for the appropriate stored calibration file.
The calibration documentation and equipment lists of the calibration file are retrieveable from the stored files.
The following input mask enables the operator to set the appropriate susceptibility test parameters.
The following parameters can be altered or set:
- Time per frequency step
- Modulation type
- Modulation parameters
- Current limit
- Automatic monitoring of EUT parameters
For each frequency step the correct forward power and current limit is read from the calibration file.
The program controls the generator output power to reestablish the stored calibrated forward power level taking into account the calibrated current limit.
During the forward power control process the generator modulation is switched off by default because most power meters cannot measure modulated signals
correctly. Optional regulation with activated modulation is possible.
In the next step - the duration of which depends on the step rate setting - the modulation is active.
The test run is surveyed during execution and is automatically recorded in a file.
During the test procedure the control program can be switched into a manual operation mode.
This mode is very helpful to examine EUT reactions and threshold levels. In the manual operation mode the following parameters can be altered or set:

- Frequency
- Test level
- RF-power on/off
- Manual command of the test instruments
The program enables the operator to switch between automatic and manual operation mode.
