Armaments and defence is an industry that is strongly driven by research and development and produces high-tech components and systems. Many innovations from this sector have been and are being adopted in civil areas, such as navigation and radar systems in vehicles or in aviation.
In our accredited EMC laboratory and laboratory for environmental simulation, we support our customers from the defence industry with comprehensive tests in the area of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) as well as environmental simulation according to numerous standards in order to meet special requirements of military components and systems at an early stage of product development.
In addition to EMC testing and environmental simulation testing, direct and indirect lightning strike testing plays an important role in the defence industry. Get an overview of the necessary tests according to special standards in the area of lightning strikes: EMCC DR RAŠEK lightning strike test
One of the most important standards in this area is MIL-STD-461. It defines test requirements regarding the electromagnetic interference emissions and immunity of electronic, electrical and electromechanical devices and subsystems.
There are numerous absorber rooms available in our EMC laboratory for EMC tests on components. Larger devices can be tested in our large absorber hall or on our open area test site for up to 300 m measuring distance. We would also be pleased to perform EMC measurements on your military equipment on-site at your premises, worldwide - EMCC on-site testing, worldwide.
Our aim is to meet the requirements for military systems and components at an early stage of development. Our services cover many E3 criteria:
The following infrastructure is available for environmental simulation tests on your military product:
