Defence and Security - Test lab for EMC, Radio and Environmental Simulation
Research and development play a decisive role in the arms and defence industry, in which high-tech components and systems are manufactured. Many innovations from this sector find their way into civilian fields, including navigation and radar systems in road transportation and aviation.
New defence technologies are constantly being developed – not only for army, navy and air forces, but also to protect military personnel from harm. These technologies must be able to withstand significant stresses and function reliably, safely and with maximum precision in practical deployment. Evaluating the impact of environmental factors specific to military applications calls for sophisticated testing methods. Testing must go well beyond the standard criteria that are sufficient in other industries, such as electromagnetic interference, atmospheric pressure, direct sunlight and humidity.
Consulting and accredited testing services to relevant military and other standards/specifications
EMCC offers clients in the defence sector comprehensive consulting and testing services relating to electrical safety, EMC, radio and environmental simulation. Our goal is to address the demands imposed on military systems and components at an early stage of development. Our services encompass all E3 criteria, such as EMI, EMC, EMS, TEMPEST, EMSEC, COMSEC, LEMP, NEMP, HERF, HIRF (high intensity radiated fields) and HPM, environmental simulation and electrical safety. We can deliver these services both at our labs and at the client site. In additional to comprehensive accreditations and recognitions, we also hold all relevant security clearance.
Furthermore, we are able to generate High Intensity Radiated Filds (HIRF) and to test the impact of indirect and direct lightning effects.
