Gravel Bombardment Test - Procedure
Stone chip resistance of coatings is tested by projection of many small sharp-edged impactors. The bombardment material is defined chilled iron grit, which is shot with compressed air onto the coating at a certain angle. Working pressure, mass of the bombardment material, shelling time and construction of the test device do affect the extend of damage.
